Confucius’s Analects (206 BC – 220 AD) BOOK REVIEW

I read this a few months back while I was in Japan and thought it was really interesting. The Analects are a widely influential collection of sayings of Confucius, the Chinese political philosopher (not sure if that’s an accurate way to describe him). A lot of it is about how one should act and behave in a society, as well as how one should rule over others. If you’re interested in politics, sociology, or history I think this is a good book to read in order to get a better sense of the value system that several Asian countries were pretty much built on – at least over the last two thousand years.
