Drew Martin says:

The Chalk Man is an excellent book. I think you’ll like it.

LazyDogsRanch says:

JD Robb is Nora Roberts (Jill March is also her). She’s bound to be on the lists somewhere, and I’d guess sometimes in more than one category, given that she writes romance and fantasy in addition to her SF/Mystery “Death In” books.

N the Pages says:

This is a great video idea! Loved it!!!!

Fueled By Fantasy says:

kayla thank you for the amount of effort you put in to give us unique content 🙂 <3

Roger's Reads says:

What a fun video! Now I need to check out some of these books. I enjoyed the Woman in the Window and The Death of Mrs. Halloway. I read the first book in the Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith (AKA J. K. Rowling) and didn’t like it at all so opted not to finish the series. Anyway, great video — you obviously put in a lot of work into it.

Nicole Glasson says:

I’d be curious to know what you think of The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle (obvs not to be confused Husbands/Hugo). It’s a bit like Clue crossed with Groundhog Day. I’m not sure how it would compare to the rest of the list but I certainly enjoyed it 🙂 .

Diana González says:

Wow! Amazing video!

Abby Wonder says:

I read Jane Doe. It was ok. The only other one I’ve read was the Mrs waverly one. It was pretty good. I’ve read all the jd Robb books but the newest

Francine Ferreira says:

Wow!!! You deserve a big congrats just by the effort of reading all of these books WHILE having a life outside the internet lol
And the idea was awesome!!! I super trust your opinion, so definitely will read the top 3!

Dušan Vajagić says:

One of my favorite things to do is guess your rating before you rate the book based on how you talk about it

GetASpine says:

I wasn’t into most of the nominees lol!

Anoushka Reddy says:

Loved the video. The time and effort required to make this video is blowing my mind.
Side note: it kinda feels like you might not be aware that Robert Galbraith was JK Rowling’s pen name. Probably also one of the reasons why the books are so popular.

Julie's Jibber Jabber says:

I just don’t like Tana French’s books.

Randomandlovely says:

I love this idea so much! You come up with the best ideas, I swear

Virginia Collins says:

Love this video! You are spot on with the issues about the GR Choice Awards. I embrace that my votes add to the madness and vote on almost every category. I usually try to vote for a lesser-talked about books, but they are still ones I’ve read or are at least heard good things about.

MissKriekentaart says:

And did reading The Dry make you enjoy Force of Nature more?

Gabby Chiera says:

Really Goodreads should have a setting that you can only vote for books that are on your “Read” shelf. About 5 years ago I used to just vote for anything I was interested in and realised that kinda defeats the purpose since I haven’t read them yet. So these last couple years I’ve only voted for books I’d read.
Obviously the votes are still “biased” unless you have read all the books in a category, but it’s a hell of a lot better than just voting for everything.

foxxybooksandplanning says:

honestly I really love the cormoran strike series and didnt love leathal white as much as I loved book 2 or book 3. It was way too long for the story it was trying to tell.

Vynexa says:

I would really like to read The Wife Between Us now. I love your content cause you’re always doing something that blows my mind.

Serena Darking says:

Definitely go with Tana French’s Dublin Murder Squad books!

susi q says:

I can’t believe you’ve never read James Patterson.

Nozh says:

The Broken Girls shoulda made the top 10. That book was great.

Oh! For the Love of Books ! says:

There is a new mystery thriller coming out in April of 2019 called Little Darlings by Melanie Golding and I think you might really like it or think it sounds interesting!!!

J.N. Cahill says:

I’ve only read The Woman in the Window but I really liked it and am OK with it winning. But you are right about the entire Goodreads contest. I feel like I haven’t even read 25% of what is on the list.

Heather Harbron says:

I gave three thrillers five stars this year, and they were all write-ins. The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, The Last Time I Lied, and Jane Doe. I also loved The Outsider and gave it five stars, but I think it belongs more in the horror category.

MacInnis Mama says:

I really want to read al, the winners. Even the genres I never read. I feel like it could be interesting.

Jessica Fesemyer says:

The woman in the window was one of my favorites of the year!!

AlphaMike says:

You put so much work into this video!! I loved it – very comprehensive and I need to read your top pick. Going to order it now

Fantastic video! This was so entertaining to watch! I really admire your creativity and dedication to putting out quality content :’)

You also gave me a fair idea of which of these books I’m really interested in: The Woman in the Window, The Death of Mrs Westaway and The Outsider.

Excelsior Books says:

Lala, I think you should be able to DNF books on challenges. It is part of reading. Thank you for doing this one though. I love thrillers

Zen Life says:

How do you possibly read so fast? I thought I read fast, but hot damn lady! Your dedication is extraordinary!!
