I enjoy your Lattes and Literature series! Perfect timing as I’m looking for a good book or two to read this summer – going to check out “The Immortalists”.

Thank you for this, my favorite videos. Think I will definitely purchase The Wife Between Us. If you would like a quick easy read, The Little French Bistro / Nina George. It is not a jaw dropping suspense. It is about living in an unappreciated relationship and that leads to life feelings of extreme disparity that forces the character to run away from her life in hopes of ending it, but rather she finds new hope. It is a story of tenderness and being redeemed. It’s an easy read. The author does a great job in making the characters uniquely alive and very vivid. It is described as a story of second chances.

Ami H. says:

Have you read the Kel series by Tamora Pierce?  Also about a lady knight in training, but the last book goes into some dark places mentally.

I have just read The Ministry of Utmost Happiness by Arudhati Roy, and I want to push it on everyone. So, I recommend it to you, too 🙂

mcija says:

I really enjoyed Need to Know. If anyone watched the series The Americans, Need to Know is in a similar vein. Also, I believe it is going to be a feature film with Charlize Theron. Hope you continue with this series. Best, Jane

anna burke says:

I recently read The Lavender Garden by Lucinda Riley. It’s set in France and London, both in modern times and the ’30s-’40s, so there are two related stories within. It was so compelling! It was rather serious but still a great summer read.

Rachel J says:

I love this series! I am always on the hunt for new books. I have read several that you have spoken about. Keep it coming!! <3 much love

Lisa S. says:

Great recommendations. Reading The Immortalists now. Would recommend Matchmaking for Beginners by Madfie Dawson. It is a lovely romance in which the protagonist meets her fiance’s grandmother who this her as a kindred spirit. The grandmother is a Matchmaker who left her southern roots to live in NYC and wants her grandson’s fiance to for in her footsteps. Charming, poignant and well written.

Chiena Avtzon says:

If you want a good thriller, you should read “The Alienist”. It is a bit heavier, mainly due to the setting.

preena K says:

If you don’t mind serious, I would definitely recommend “The Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah. I have also heard a lot of praise for “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine,” but have yet to read it 🙂

Araceli Santoyo says:

Oh Elle I love this series! I also read The Wife Between Us and really liked it! Lately I have read many books in that genre and that one was one of my top picks! I like books with a twist. Thank you for your recommendations. The Immortalists sounds really interesting. I will see if its on audio books so I can listen to it next month! 🙂

TSP says:

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng – Please make this your Summer read! And #HappyReading.

A L says:

I thoroughly enjoyed A Court of Thorns and Roses (good light/fantasy type read – not heavy literature by any means).
The next books that follow in the series were also enjoyable – things switch up in the story and you might be surprised.
My niece finished reading the first book whilst on vacation and I picked it up and was happy to be transported to another realm so to speak.

Irene Schmidt says:

I love the lattes and literature series you do. Please continue it. Thank you.

sarahamelia says:

I love this series!!

Dolores Of Course says:

Girl, Dark Places is one of the worst movies I’ve seen this decade. Charlize Theron and Christina Hendricks. I just kept shaking my head that their agents got them involved with that turd. It was like a bad Lifetime movie gone off the rails.

I’m pretty certain “Feyre” is just fancy pants spelling for “Fairy”.

Kelsey M says:

I’m happy that you’re reading the Court of Thorns and Roses series. Sarah J Maas is one of my favorite authors. If you enjoy the series, I highly recommend her other series, Throne of Glass. It is a longer series, and the character development and story building is amazing that rereading it is wild. Also from her pronunciation guide (I know, strange, but all of her characters have interesting names) makes Feyre’s name come out to Fay-ruh I believe. Love your videos!

Dolores Of Course says:

I’ve been reading through the Philippa Gregory Plantagenents series. I haven’t seen any of the tv shows. The style and story quality really vary between novels. I started with The White Princess and it was torture to finish. It really felt like something she just cranked out because it was expected after the success of The White Queen tv show. I was going to wash my hands of her, but then I went back and read Lady of the Rivers and am currently reading The White Queen. Both well-written, engaging fictionalized versions of history.
