A friend I grew up with has published her first book and it’s due to be released 1/31/2017. It’s a young adult fictional story titled “Caraval” and the author is Stephanie Garber. The movie rights were purchased by the makers of the Divergent series…such an achievement to be published! You can read the first two chapters online and preorder on Amazon. I have another recommendation but I cannot remember the title so I’ll get back to you: it’s a book about a coworkers crazy childhood!

Nessa P says:

Do you like self help books? which ones do you recommend?

kirasgirly says:

Check out Harlen Coben I’ve started to love him. I also have Darcey Coates in my to read list haha. I’ve also been reading Karen Robards. I finished a Coben book on Friday I think it was and now i’m actually reading The Awakening by Kate Chopin again lol. I have that reader problem them. I read one, just to add ten more to my to read list. Therefore my list never goes down haha.

Shreya Gupta says:

Elle! you have to read “The Wild Rose” by Doris Mortman. It’s beautiful and leaves an imprint in your memory 🙂

Elena Hernandez says:

I just finished Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner (it is not what it seems hehe) and it was so great! I know you’d love it! Thank you for all the book recommendations, I have added them to my to-read list! 🙂

Someone recommended the book The Night Circus on the last episode and I just finished that one and absolutely loved it 🙂
I did not know about Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty and will definitely add that to my list.
I just love The Importance of Being Earnest, the play as well as the movie 😀 Good Choice!!!

tiasha moitra says:

Dark Places and Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn are fantastic! I love classics and one of my suggestions would be North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell.

Scatach7 says:

Elle, if you enjoy Nora Roberts books, definitely check out the In death series (she writes them under the pseudonym J.D. Robb), they are the perfect mix of mystery, romance and witty remarks 🙂

Excellent video, authors I like reading: Tami Hoag, Patricia Cornwell, Lee Child, Sanda Brown and many more. I just love reading it’s like going on a little vacation, just love reading.

Nicole Stark says:

Love love love these posts. Try these titles – I LOVE Gillian Flynn and really enjoyed In the Clearing by Robert Dugoni (this is actually the 3rd in a series but can stand alone) and Redemption Road by John Hart (he is a former lawyer and has a fantastic writing style. The audio book is great, too).

icegini says:

Being addicted to reading and loving your channel, I am so glad for the second one of this serie. Thanks for sharing your reading.
Have you read something by Patricia Cornwell? She is my author who never dissapoints.

Meaghan Parent says:

I LOVE Reflections and Dreams! I like Nora Roberts in general, but the ballet element was just so enjoyable for me! ( I spent most of my childhood and teenage years dreaming about being a ballerina:)

himalayanstardust says:

Thanks for the heads up on the release of Liane Moriarty’s new book in July! I finished Big Little Lies a couple weeks ago. I’m reading The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George right now. If you haven’t read it I think you might like it.

Nessa P says:

Nice I’m going to check these books out on my kindle

aziz abd says:

thank you for this

scout finch says:

Elle I recommend Possession by AS Byatt if you haven’t read it already. Also the Maisie Dobbs series by Jacqueline Winspear

Trish says:

I enjoy hearing your book selections. Yes, Nora Roberts is a great read. Based on your last book video suggestion I have read J’Adore New York by Isabelle Lafleche. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have picked up the other two in that series. Keep these videos coming!

Christy G. says:

Okay, non-book related! 🙂 What lipstick are you wearing (it’s not coming off on your mug!)? Very pretty eyeshadow look too! Love your salt lamp in the background!

aisakaykure says:

May i recommend Three men in a boat by Jerome K Jerome.

Vivian Li says:

Elle how do you have time to read so many books?! I have recently getting back into reading an actual book cause my eyes get so tired from looking at the screens at work all day. Last thing I want to do is read on my ipad. I love this series! Keep them coming 🙂

aDamselsOdyssey says:

Hi Elle, which kindle do you have? and cover? so pretty!

amsugrue says:

Thanks for the recommendations Elle. I love Nora Roberts. Her book The Witness is one of my favorites.

Caffeinebreak says:

I LOVE Rebecca and recommend it to anyone willing to listen. I’m so happy to find another reader who loves it too! Do you have a goodreads account, Elle?

4227Style says:

I just finished two Nora Roberts books — “The Liar” and “The Collector” — they’re both good. I’ve read all of her books except the most recent. The Sue Grafton Kinsey Milhone series books are pretty entertaining, a good mix of thriller, humor and who-done-it. You might like Lisa Scottoline, she is a lawyer that writes law/crime themed thrillers. David Baldacci and Harlen Coben are also two that I read quite a bit. I’m looking forward to your next video. Thanks. Xo Karen

Tamara Epps says:

I’ve recently been whipping through the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde and know anyone who likes books will love it. It’s hard to describe as includes fantasy, sci-fi, romance, mystery, and lots of references to literature. I’ve never read anything like it before but it is not only an incredible idea, it is very well executed so I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series and any other books he’s written.

c sikomas says:

Elle, it was a great surprise to do my normal youtube search and find a suggestion to view this vid. I am pleasantly surprised by your range, and your comments of books. I have been looking for a book club, I know this is not a back and forth option – but its nice to listen and maybe get a few ideas. In return, one book I must recommend and I am sure it hasn’t been raised is the most brilliant book by Timothy Findley, one of his last books, and in my mind, on of his best, “Famous Last Words”. It’s historical, it’s a mystery, based on true characters, its about the Royals, and it is wonderfully written and (this is my fav point), it is great quality ‘literature’ in the true sense of the word. Try it and let me know what you think! Thanks from Calgary (brrrrrrrrrr) c xx

shinniex says:

I’m reading Pretty Girls right now and I LOVED The Kind Worth Killing. TKWK is probably one of the best plot driven mystery thrillers I’ve read. I couldn’t get through Cuckoo’s Calling but I heard Silkworm is better and Career Girl even better! Mary Kubica’s books are also pretty good.

sajero2 says:

Thanks for the reviews! I like the same types of books as you, and you gave me a couple ideas for new thrillers!

Staged2Sell NL says:

Love your lattes and literature!  Just in time for my summer list of books 🙂  Thanks Elle!

restingbitchface says:

I think you’d really like You by Caroline Knepes, if you haven’t already read it, and it’s sequel. Just based on what you’re showing here. It’s amaaaazing.

tammimarie says:

LOVED the kind worth killing

Ami H. says:

Since you didn’t enjoy the Silkworm as much as the Cuckoo’s Calling, will you be reading and reviewing Career of Evil?

fa3ryg1rl1 says:

Have you read Outlander (or any of the series)? Very epic historical fiction sweeping in scope. Highly recommended!

fa3ryg1rl1 says:

I would love a new episode of Lattes and Literature for the fall! 🙂

Peggy G says:

hey love your videos! what’s your business email ?

Rosanna Hon says:

If you liked Gone Girl and you like the occasional dark mystery than you should read Gillian Flynns other 2 books. Especially Sharp Objects… So Dark, you don’t see the ending coming.

Nancy Smith says:

Thank you for the review. I love Nora Roberts books when I want to totally relax. Nice light reading. I need to read more. Thanks for the incentive to get my books out!!

Drshawty112 says:

Recently purchased Speaking Truth to Power by Anita Hill. I am not a reader, but I found that I like books about real people. I don’t know why that is. Suggested biographies/ autobiographies: The sell (Fredrik Eklund), Bossy Pants (Tina Fey), and The Diary of Anne Frank. Any suggestions about biographies that I may like?
