Hi Elle, welcome back!! Just downloaded “Behind her Eyes” and am excited to read it. I just finished Along the Infinite Sea
By Williams, Beatriz and would recommend that to you if you haven’t read it yet. It is an enjoyable historical fiction novel with a good romance thrown in.

tammimarie says:

Yay, Happy New Year! I recommend Lie to Me by J.T. Ellison, & I See You by Clare Mackintosh. Both really great psychological thrillers. Also Beartown by Fredrik Backman for fiction. Very different but good. Can’t wait to read Little Fires Everywhere… keep hearing how great it is.

Bronte Faulkner says:

This is my favourite series. We have very similar taste in literature so thank you for your recommendations!

Jennifer Ann Fox says:

Elle I LOVE this series. I have always loved to read. Along the genre that you like, i read Sleep Tight by Rachel Abbott. it was a very good book. i think the author rights a series with an investigator main character but this is a stand alone book. i have noted your recommendations and The Tea Room looks good. I ‘ve missed you but am so glad you have had a good rest with your mom and Joe. I know I’m late to the party but I’m reading The Girl on the Train now. it’s really good. And finally, i got a job!!!!! starting next month. I’m a medical provider and it just is so exciting to get back into work after my dad’s death. its been a rough year. My latte is plain coffee this morning with a little milk, sugar and vanilla. LOL XX

Welcome back! Thanks for the recommendations! Also the sound of the ocean in the background sounds so nice. Hope you enjoyed Hawaii!

Gina Miller says:

This is my favorite series!! I also love suspense, thrillers & even crime/murder type books. One of your previous lattes & literatures you mentioned you liked Nora Roberts. One of my all time favorite books is “Jewels of the Sun” by her. I liked it because of the main character as well as what was going on in my own life at the time I read it, if that makes any sense. Especially because it wasn’t a thriller, but I loved the way she painted a picture of Ireland & the characters. I’ve been looking for a book to make me want to turn pages quickly. Lisa Gardner writes some that are very good & I can finish in 2 days if I’m not doing anything else. I’m going to download some of your recommendations!!

War & Remembrance says:

Molly DeMond says:

Elena Hernandez says:

Elle, I highly highly recommend The Nightingale. It’s such an incredible read and made me cry multiple times. The book illicited strong emotions from me. I think you’d love it.

Ariel Ames says:

I had a really fun time reading B. A. Paris’ thriller Behind Closed Doors. Also enjoyed The Breakdown, but to a lesser extent.

Tara Fashion 2 Style says:

I absolutely love your lattes and literature series, I read the marriage lie and the widow about the same time you did, the marriage lie was a little slow but good I thought the ending was a little abrupt. The widow, I read about 1/3 into the book and felt like they had told the whole in the first few chapters and the rest was everyone’s perspective, at that point the suspense was over for me and didn’t finish it, like you I like suspense and sometimes I can’t stop myself from figuring it out and spoiling the rest of the book. I have not read the tea roses series yet it’s been on my list and hope to start that maybe this spring!

eljacoby says:

Oh I’m so excited you read Behind Her Eyes!! What an ending, huh?!!!! Brilliant!! I also took your advice and am reading The Tea Rose right now. I love it thus far, and will be picking up some more of your Latte and Literature suggestions after I’m done. Thanks Elle and Happy New Year!!!!

M Sheridan says:

Happy New Year Elle, Joe and momma Elle

Chiena Avtzon says:

Yay…. Lattes and Literature is back!!!! Hope you vacation was a great recharge for you, Elle.

I had the exact same issue with “The Good Girl”. The ending was so obvious at the halfway point, and the pacing was so poor. I thought the first half was much better, due to it having demented aura. My favorite 2017 reads were “All the Light We Cannot See” and “America’s First Daughter”. I am currently in middle of “Moonglow” by Michael Chabon. Historical fiction is my favorite genre, and thrillers are my guilty pleasure. This year, I want to try to read some more adult fantasy. Not epic fantasy, but more along the lines of “Harry Potter”. No matter which genre a book is, it needs to be grounded for me to enjoy it.

Pamela Steckman says:

The Breakdown by BA Paris…. sooooo good and an easy read! Reading the Nest now…. good so far. I also liked Most Wanted by Lisa Scottoline! All is not forgotten by a Wendy Walker was also good!

Boston girl313 says:

Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll check those authors out as well. Have you come across Edward Rutherfurd. He’s a historical fiction novelist. My fave of his books is Paris. Also highly suggest James Clavell. All his books starting with Shogun are just amazing. I’m currently reading Gai-Jin.

E N says:

Have you read any Louise Penny’s books? She is Canadian mystery writer and her books are great. I say you would enjoy reading them too.

Michelle the italiagal says:

Hello! I might try a book by Jennifer Donnelly… Thank you for the recommendation. One of my resolutions is to read as if my life depended on it.

Susy Godinho says:

Happy New Year to you, your mom and Joe! Hope you’re enjoying the vacay! I have been trying to decide between the kobo and kindle. Living in Canada the Kobo is easily available at Chapters. What made you decide to go with the Kindle over the Kobo? Have a great weekend.
