It’s the never-ending book review! Good thing I only read 34 books in 2018. ~silver lining~

I also really cannot stand Becki Albertalli’s books. I LOVED Simon but Upside of Unrequited made me so angry I wanted to scream and Leah on the Offbeat was a mess. Simon was the only book that didn’t fill me with rage lol
Living for this one hour video
Evelyn Hugo was also my favorite character of 2018! 🙂
I did play this in the background while I was drawing but I listened to every word, I swear. I’ve never watched a yearly wrap up this thorough before and I love it! (and I can’t to join your readathon!!)
Zoe: *doesn’t post for like a year*
Zoe: *posts 1 hour video*
When it rains it pours, haha.
Your channel is really growing last I checked. You go girl 🙂
Omg just realized that the transition music Zoe used for each time she cued a new section of the video is the same music used in the curio shop from Webkinz lmaooooo
I am totally with you on Leah on the Offbeat, that book was soooo upsetting. Simon was one of my favorite books last year, and I really enjoyed Upside too, so it just made Leah even more disappointing. I hope that it’s just a fluke, and Becky’s future books are better.
ZOË WHAT DO YOU USE TO FILM!!!!!! (camera, lins, mic, light ect.)
I give the books I hate 2 stars and save 1 star for “this book offends me!” But I don’t review DNFs unless they offend me as a reason I threw that book across the room.
I only read 22 or 23 books last year. 2018 was NOT a reading year for me. I discovered a couple new favorites though! The best books I read and I now consider favorites are The Secret History by Donna Tartt and The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. I started The Dream Thieves soon after finishing The Raven Boys, but I haven’t finished it, yet. I’m pretty much waiting for the opportunity to finish it and marathon read the other two books of the series.
why would you listen to a book that you own a physical version of it ? why not spare the listening to books you don’t own !!!!
oh my god I do the same thing with my goodreads reading goals every single year, and last year I forgot to lower mine at the end of the year too!! you literally described exactly what happened to me hahah im shook
I was gonna read Leah on the Offbeat, but honestly, I trust your reviews over any other influencer and I don’t want to put myself through that lmao
The more I think about Leah, the more I realise it was a 3* not a 5*, i was so captured by Simon Vs and that we were getting a bi fat girl like myself so I think I just gave it 5* because of all those things but the more I think about it, the more problems I realise I had with it!!
I just got so much laundry folded while watching this video lmao thanks
Please elaborate on your hate towards Peter in tatbilb! It’s so intriguing!
SO PUMPED FOR FALLING ASLEEP TO THIS HOUR OF WHOLESOME LOVLINESS (and then re-watching it more attentively tomorrow)
GAH this video was so wholesome! The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was already on my radar but after this I reaaaaally want to read it! Radio Silence is another one I’ve heard good things of, it’s sounding like a book that will give me ALL OF THE FEELINGS :’) One of my faves from last year was Tinder by Sally Gardener, it’s a real good spooky one for October; it’s all about werewolves and folklore and spooky curses, AND it has amazing illustrations! Would recommend for Halloween 😀 <3
Your Leah on the Offbeat review is exactly my mood.
Zoë, if you do a 2 hours video, ill see it
1 hour? The Shane Dawson of Booktube. I can’t wait for the bookspiracies!
*doesn’t even think about the time stamps because I need ALL THE READBYZOE*
You so should give a try to Neil Gaiman’s Sandman graphic books.
100% agree with your thoughts on leah on the off beat
Really appreciate that you included timestamps
That was a great hour! So interesting to catch up on what you read!
