I’m studying Charlie and the chocolate factory for uni (for a children’s literature course) and I’m so looking forward to doing a close reading of it, Roald Dahl was such a genius.
Harry Potter was the first book I read on my own so the whole series is very dear to me, however the author I remember reading so much of was Emily Rodda. She’s an Australian author and wrote some of my favourite books (to this day) including the Teen Power Inc. and Deltora Quest series. So good, I absolutely ate those up. She’s written some new stuff recently … I should seek them out.
