Your love for books kind of intimidates me!!! Keep it up!! Did you try reading Rohinton Mistry’s “The Fine Balance”? Looking forward to your review.you can also try Janice Pariat’s “The nine chambered heart.”

Please read about PONNYIN SELVAN BY KALKI…. Definitely you will get a great experience by reading this book… It is available in English also…
People consider Sadat Hassan Manto as a Pakistani author, but I consider him for both of us Indians and Pakistanis, and also obviously for the world. He is my favourite Indian author and if you haven’t read him you should read Bitter Fruit.its a good starting point. The way he captured raw human emotions is mesmerising
My top 10:
1. English, August (Upamanyu Chatterjee)
2. The Middleman (Manishankar “Sankar” Mukherjee)
3. It Rained All Night (Buddhadeva Bose)
4. Malgudi Days (R.K. Narayan)
5. Fifty and Done (Tara Deshpande)
6. The Room on the Roof (Ruskin Bond)
7. Nirmala (Premchand)
8. Solo (Rana Dasgupta)
9. Fury (Salman Rushdie)
10. Past Continuous (Neel Mukherjee)
PS: I’ve included translations but excluded compilations (either by the author or someone else) and works by non-Indians, even if of Indian descent, so Jhumpa Lahiri is out, but Rana, because he lives and has lived in India for years, is in.
Please give your reviews on calcutta chromosomes and tale of two cities
I highly recommend you books written by Andaleeb Wajid. I tripped upon her book Asmara’s Summer and I loved her writing style so much that I ended up reading all the books written by her till date. Her books are warm and witty and light-hearted (mostly about teen phase) .I recommend you to read her books.
P.S. glad to find your channel 😀
